Delivered over two years, students are taught about the building and construction industry, exploring, types of building projects, project planning, and the roles of the trades and professions. They are given a broad overview of the built environment and develop vocational skills in joinery, plumbing and electrical installation. They will do a number of practical projects which will enable them to develop real trade skills and their problem solving abilities. This is an ideal course for those students looking to secure apprenticeships in the construction industry or simply to learn some very useful home maintenance skills.
