Dark green skirt*. which must be of a reasonable length. Skirts should be worn with black tights or black / white socks. (*This item can be ordered from school or the Uniform Shop in Meanwood - not available from Trutex).
Trousers should be black, tailored and full length (i.e., ankles are not visible). Leggings, jeans, sportswear are not allowed. Wearing of other trousers underneath school uniform is not allowed.
Unisex school uniform shorts are optional in summer term, to be ordered via ParentPay.
Plain black belt with plain buckle if required to keep trousers around waist
White shirt or blouse – not fitted. This must be of sufficient length to tuck into skirt / trousers.
Plain black shoes (without a logo or large buckles)
Boots should not be worn in school.
Socks should be white, black or grey.
Dark green or black headscarf / patka / turban if required.
No coats / outdoor clothing to be worn inside school. Students should remove them on entry.

Jewellery and Make Up
Facial jewellery, including tongue and nose studs, is not allowed. A watch and small stud earrings may be worn. Smart watches are not permitted
Students who choose to get a new piercing should only do so at the start of the summer holiday to allow 4-6 weeks healing time to allow them to be removed upon return to school.
A single bracelet or pendant of religious significance may be worn under clothing.
Other items of jewellery will be confiscated by staff. These items will be available for collection by an adult.
Make up and accessories must be discreet e.g., no bandanas. Hair bands should be simple narrow bands without further decoration e.g., no flowers.
Dyed hair colours should be present as natural in appearance. Students are not allowed artificially bright hair colouring.
Nail extensions, gel / acrylics and nail polish are not allowed.
PE Uniform
All students must bring their kit and get changed for PE even if they are not participating in the lesson.
Our PE uniform requires:
AHS green and black sports top (only available from Kool Kidz) or AHS green polo t-shirt (only available from Trutex)
Compulsory black bottoms, can either be:
Plain black (no logos, patterns or stripes) leggings, sports shorts (not cycling) or tracksuit bottoms or
AHS sports shorts or black & green skorts (only available from Kool Kidz)
Sweatshirt/hoodie can be either:
AHS black sweatshirt (only available from Trutex) or
AHS black fleece (only available from Trutex) or
AHS PE hoodie (only available from Kool Kidz) or
Plain black hoodie/sweatshirt (no logo’s, patterns or stripes allowed)
Socks must be black, white or grey *
Compulsory trainers, must be different to students’ school shoe - logos permitted
Compulsory studded football boots – logos permitted
* Students in possession of green PE socks are allowed to use them until they need replacing
Failure to wear the school uniform appropriately will result in the loss of social time. Break and lunch will be taken in Behaviour. The school reserves the right to determine whether a student’s uniform is appropriately worn. If jewellery (other than permitted items as above) is worn it will be confiscated and kept safely in school until the end of the week when it can be collected by the student. Repeated wearing of jewellery will result in confiscation until the end of the half term.
