E BOOKS

Reading Cloud is the AHS Library Catalogue https://app.readingcloud.net/. It lists all library resources and many useful websites.

AHS eLibrary is our online digital fiction library containing over 1000 eBooks. It offers a wide variety of YA fiction, classics and Accelerated Reader titles which students can read online or as a download 24/7. Login using your school email and password.

VLe Books has a number of GCSE and A level e-textbooks which are available for students to access 24/7. The platform also includes English set texts and some fiction titles.

Accelerated Reader https://login.renaissance.com/ is an online tool that allows year 7 and year 8 students to select challenging and entertaining reads. Year 7 and year 8 students will complete a STAR test at the beginning of each term and a ZPD (Zone of Proximal Development) will be calculated to help students choose books which are appropriate for their reading ability. The programme then offers quizzes on each book, so that teachers can monitor reading progress. Please ask your english teacher for your user name and password. 

Reading plus  https://student.readingplus.com/seereader/api/sec/login reading plus is for selected year 7-9 students. Please speak to your english teacher if you have any queries. 

Maths

Modern Foreign Languages

Memrise and Quizlet allow students to independently learn and practice important vocabulary that they need to know for their language learning. They work by using interactive exercises, games, and spaced repetition techniques to help students remember and recall words more effectively.
