Accelerated Readerhttps://login.renaissance.com/ is an online tool that allows year 7 and year 8 students to select challenging and entertaining reads. Year 7 and year 8 students will complete a STAR test at the beginning of each term and a ZPD (Zone of Proximal Development) will be calculated to help students choose books which are appropriate for their reading ability. The programme then offers quizzes on each book, so that teachers can monitor reading progress. Please ask your english teacher for your user name and password.
