How is the course assessed?

In KS3 student’s sit a 30-mark assessment each half term. In Year 7 and 8 assessments consist of 1–4 mark questions made up largely from the student’s current topic but also include questions to assess geographical skills and ‘older than this topic’ questions to encourage recall. In Year 9 assessments continue in the same style however we introduce a 6-mark question to give students the opportunity to develop and extend their geographical writing further.

Pupils show excellent attitudes to learning./ There is a thirst for knowledge and an excitement about lessons.
