Students complete a half termly assessment based on the topic studied. Skills assessed are in line with National Curriculum requirements for the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students are awarded a numerical score for most assessments and complete a PINS piece, in line with Allerton’s feedback policy.
Teachers have high expectations of what pupils can achieve. There is a strong focus on the development of subject knowledge.
