Home learning

Homework is both important and necessary. Homework done regularly throughout secondary school can be equivalent to an additional year of study.

The homework timetable in this organiser will help students to organise their work and leisure time.

Students should use the weekly diary to keep a check on what they have to do and by when it must be completed. This should be checked by parents and carers.

Homework should be done in a quiet place free from distraction or in the KS3 Homework Club.

It is best to plan ahead to make the best use of time. Avoid leaving projects, coursework or homework until the last minute.

Students are responsible for recording their own homework. If the timetable states that homework should be set and it is not for some reason, students should write none set for that particular night.

Students can access the school Virtual Learning Environment from school and home to access resources.
