The course is graded with GCSE grades 1 to 9.

Each paper carries 50% of the qualification.

How is the course internally assessed?

Year 10

Students are assessed on their initial understanding of the topic using an introduction assessment created based on what they have learnt so far
Students then assessed on an endof-unit basis and an end-of-year assessment based on mock exam papers

Year 11

Students are assessed on Y10 content and their initial understanding of the Y11 content in a December assessment based on mock exam papers
Students are then assessed in March based on their Y11 end-of-unit content using mock exam papers
