How is the course internally assessed?
Year 10:
For half term 1a, 1b and 2a, students will sit a minimock in lesson on the content they have been studying. These are based on past GCSE papers.
They will sit a March mock which will be a GCSE paper
They will sit an end of year mock in class which will cover all of the content studied in Year 10
Students also complete regular exam questions in class/for homework and receive PINS feedback on these
Year 11:
Students’ mock grade for Term 1 will be a combination of an assessment on the content studied in half term 1a that is sat in class and their mock in half term 1b that will be on content from Year 10.
Their March mock will be a full GCSE style paper covering two topics studied in Year 11
