On this course students will study a range of units spaning a variety of topics, designed to give them a real overview of the way businesses operate. It is an excellent course for students who are interested in business and the way businesses operate and want to avoid having the pressure of significant examinations at the end of the course. This course is the equivalent to two A-Level qualifications.
Students will complete ten different units which will give students an excellent understanding of a range of different areas of business, giving students an excellent basis for further study in business.
The coursework units build on core knowledge and allow students to be able to develop understanding in a number of areas such as marketing, communicating with customers and human resources. Support from teaching staff will ensure that students are able to achieve their potential in coursework units.
Students will develop a range of skills that will serve students well at higher levels of study and in the workplace, such as time management, independent working and research skills.
The course culminates with the practical unit which requires students to deliver a business project. In doing this students will develop their teamworking and management skills as well as applying their theoretical knowledge to practical stituations.

How is the course examined?
Students will study 10 different units over the two years of study all contributing to your final grade in the subject. 50% of the grade is based on exams and 50% is based on coursework.
