CNAT Sport Science

Introduction

The Cambridge National in Sport Science Level 2 is an exciting course that shows how science supports sport, health, and performance. Students study three key units: Sports NutritionPrinciples of Training, and Sports Injuries. These units give learners valuable knowledge about how diet affects performance, how to design and follow effective training programmes, and how to manage and prevent common sporting injuries. Each unit is closely linked to real-life situations in sport, fitness, and health, helping students see how what they learn applies outside the classroom.

As part of the course, students take part in a practical lessons, which allows them to put theory into action, test out training methods, and gain hands-on experience. The skills and understanding developed through these modules are not only useful for improving their own performance but also provide a strong foundation for future careers in areas such as physiotherapy, sports coaching, nutrition, personal training, and other roles within the sports and health industries.
