How the course externally examined? 66% coursework and 34% exam:
How is the course internally assessed? In Year 12, students complete two external exams. In preparation for this, students complete a range of class and independent activities set out by teachers. Further to this, students complete one key assessment each half term, assessing knowledge and understanding of theory covered in the classroom. In preparation for external exams, they will also complete a mock paper prior to sitting external exams.
In Year 13, students complete coursework tasks set out by the teacher, along with sitting a mock paper for the external exam that is sat in January. |
