Economics is the study of scarcity and how it affects the use of resources, the production of goods and services, the growth of production and well-being over time, and many other important and complicated issues that affect society.
Economics introduces students to concepts that are impacting our everyday lives more than any other A-Level, be it the price of a coffee in a morning, to the way in which we allocate scarce healthcare resources, Economics is at the heart of these decisions.
Students will develop an understanding of current events happening every day in the UK and throughout the World. Placing these issues in context, making them more relatable and pertinent.
Students will develop vital skills in developing written and verbal responses and will have skills in evaluation that are desirable for higher level study.
