A-Level Fine Art or Photography

A level at Allerton High is a rich and varied course that develops student’s ability to understand contemporary Art practice and cultivate their own style of work. Students follow AQA Art and Design: Fine Art or Photography specification both in Years 12 and 13.

All students are asked to keep work journals as they build upon their ideas and skills throughout the course. Students are asked to do personal research, make regular gallery visits and use the facilities that Leeds and the surrounding area has to offer.  We have strong links with local Art Colleges and use their facilities where possible. There are many careers in the Arts such as architecture, interior design, illustration, gaming design fashion and fine art that our students have progressed to in the past.
